Darchula couple captured on charge of murdering own newborn child

Police in Darchula region have captured a couple on the charge of killing their own 10-month-old little girl.

Nabin Bista and his significant other Shila killed their newborn child by setting her on fire at their home in Chukpani, Byas Rural Municipality-5 of the region on Thursday night, as per police.

The couple attempted to flee from the occurrence site in the wake of carrying out the wrongdoing, yet local people confined them and submitted to police, as indicated by Inspector Rabindra Kathayat, acting head of the District Police Office.

Nearby police have presented the couple to the District Police Office.

Further examination is in progress, as per DPO representative Hikmat Bahadur Bohora.
